English: The black hairs of black cats can change from black to red-brown "rusty" due to sunlight or tyrosine deficiency. This process is referred to as “rusting”. Generally, black cats will have black coloured paw pads and nose leathers. This is how they are distinguishable with chocolate coloured cats, which have cinnamon-pink to chocolate brown coloured nose leathers and pads.
