The Radioplane OQ was the first mass-produced unmanned target drone in the United States. A follow-on version, the OQ-3, became the most widely used target aircraft in U.S. service, with over 9,400 being built during World War II. The U.S. Navy also bought the drone, designating it TDD, for "Target Drone, Denny". Circa 15.000 drones were built, being designated OQ-1, OQ-2, OQ-3, OQ-7, OQ-13, OQ-14 and TDD-1, TDD-2 and TDD-3.
