English: Routemaster bus RML2505 (reg. JJD 505D) was delivered to London Transport in June 1966. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Iveco) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, becoming one of the few buses retained by London Buses Services Ltd for leasing, instead of being sold to the new ex-London Buses operators. As such, it was one of the few buses to receive the cream and maroon livery used by Kentish Bus when they gained the contract to operate route 19 in 1993 (see 1993 image of RML2574 for comparison). It was re-assigned to Arriva London South in 1997 on the same route, being returned to a red livery. It was withdrawn and placed into storage in March 2005, and with route 19 losing its Routemasters on 2 April 2005, it was returned to LBSL who immediately sold it to Henry Cooper Coaches of Cramlington. After just two months, it passed to a private owner in Washington, Tyne & Wear. In September 2006 it passed ownership again, to a private owner in Horncliffe, Berwick-upon-Tweed, who converted it into a golf-tour bus, removing the seating in the lower deck to act as equipment storage area. In September 2008 it was sold to the Wimbledon based company The Lady in Red Productions, who specialise in providing temporary outdoor cinema screenings. They sent it for refurbishment to The Bus Works in Blackpool who restored it to original condition and London Transport livery [1], so it could be used to transport cinema patrons to and from screenings.
