English: Quintin McGarel Hogg, Baron Hailsham of St Marylebone, KG, CH, PC, QC (9 October 1907 – 12 October 2001), formerly 2nd Viscount Hailsham (1950–1963), was a British politician who was known for the longevity of his career, the vigour with which he campaigned for the Conservative Party, and the influence wielded by his political writing. He was considered for the leadership of his party (and becoming Prime Minister) in 1963, and served for more than a decade in the high post formerly held by his father, that of Lord Chancellor.
