English: VDV 753 is an example of the rarer LDL version of the Bristol 'Lodekka'. It was delivered to Western National as their 1936 in 1957 and ran as a conventional double deck bus for many years before having its roof taken off for seaside services, initially in west Cornwall. At the same time it received the name 'Sir Humphrey Davy'. It was sold to Eastern Counties for service in East Anglia, and then to Quantock Motor Services where it operated on the route 400 'Exmoor Explorer' from Minehead until 2011.
