English: Wilhelm von Gloeden travelled to Tunisia between 1901 (after the Koubba in Tunis had been restored) and 1903 (in which date one of the prints from this travel was date-stamped). His intent was clearly the production of "orientalist" images, to compete with these by Lehnert & Landrock.
