Edit infobox data on Wikidata

This is a subcategory for images of medieval and early modern pelletbows (also known as stonebows), a form of crossbow that shoots stones, pebbles or pellets instead of bolts and quarrels. Pelletbows are a form of bullet-shooting crossbows, generally with a double bowstring and a pocket similar to that of a slingshot. (Pelletbows actually predate the modern form of slingshot by a few centuries.)

Pelletbows were mostly used as civilian crossbows, for recreational and hunting purposes. In the latter case, they were especially popular for bird hunting, or hunting other small prey.
