English: The Palouse grasslands, also known as the Palouse prairie, is an ecoregion defined by the WWF as encompassing a large region of the semi-arid interior of the Pacific Northwest. While most of the grasslands have been developed for agriculture, a few significant patches remain, the largest being in Hell’s Canyon National Recreation Area.
