English: The Neapolitans call "Palafrenieri" or "Cavalli di Bronzo" (bronze horses) these 2 statues facing each other by the gate of the Royal Palace in Naples. They were donated by the Czar Nicolai I to the King of Naples Ferdinand II. Other 4 similar horses, made also in Russia by the same author Peter Clodt von Jürgensburg, are on the limits of the Anichkov bridge on the river Fontanka in Sankt Petersburg in Russia.
