Category:Palacio La Lucila
Palacio La Lucila or Quinta La Lucila was a mansion or palace owned by Colonel Alfredo Froilán de Urquiza (1856–1939, grandson of Justo J. de Urquiza) and Lucila Anchorena (1867–1917), daughter of Juan Nepomuceno de Anchorena (1829–1895) who had bought the land in 1878. The house was designed by French architect Paul-Eugène Pater (1879–1966), and occupied by the family in 1915 (although the building was still unfinished).
The mansion fell into disuse after Colonel Urquiza died in 1939. The house was acquired by some of his heirs in 1944 and finally demolished in 1944 so they could not afford the maintenance expenses.(source: La Nación)
It was located on Andrés Ferreyra between Debenedetti and Díaz Vélez streets.
