The Saw-shelled turtle, Myuchelys latisternum, is found in the deeper pools of Downfall Creek and Somerset Creek in 7th Brigade Park, Chermside. It is often observes sunning on the banks but quickly slips into the water if it notices the observer. It is often in the company of Emydura macquarii, the Macquarie turtle.
