Deutsch: Die Schulgbäude der heutigen Muhliusschule in der Gartenstraße 22 und in der Legienstraße 23 waren anfangs zwei voneinander unabhängigen Schule: 1873 an der Gartenstraße errichtete ehemalige Knabenfreischule, später III. Mädchen-Mittelschule, nach 1945 Elsa-Brandström-Schule, und 1883/84 von J. A. Lauers für die Gesellschaft freiwilliger Armenfreunde erbaute ehemalige Frauengewerbe-Schule, ab 1924 städtische Mädchenschule, nach 1945 Carl-Löwe-Schule.1987/88 wurde die Muhlius-Grundschule mit der Hauptschule Gerhardstraße und Carl-Löwe-Realschule zusammengelegt und bezog im darauf folgenden Schuljahr das Gebäude in der Legienstraße 23.

English: The school buildings of today's Muhliusschule at Gartenstrasse 22 and Legienstrasse 23 were initially two independent schools: the former boys' free school built in 1873 on Gartenstrasse, later III. Girls' middle school, after 1945 the Elsa Brandström School; and the former women's trade school built in 1883/84 by J. A. Lauers for the Society of Voluntary Friends of the Poor, from 1924 the municipal girls' school, after 1945 the Carl Löwe School. In 1987/88 the Muhlius primary school was merged with the Gerhardstrasse secondary school and the Carl Löwe school and moved into the building at Legienstrasse 23 in the following school year.
