English: Kikkar Stella Maris: Memorial Cross of 1876 dedicated by the Châteaurenault crew (French naval ship) to the memory of the "brave" allied Egyptian soldiers who died during the French assault on Acre, as inscribed in the iron ball at the bottom of the cross. In the centre of the cross the initials (C.R.) of the ship's name.
עברית: ב-1876 בקרו במקום מלחים צרפתים מאונית המלחמה "שאטורנו" והציבו לפני המצבה, צלב גדול מברזל. בתחתית הצלב נמצא כדור ברזל עליו חקוק בצרפתית: "המלחים של שאטורנו: לזכר החיילים האמיצים של צבא מצרים שנפלו בהתקפות על עכו. הם נפלו בעת מלוי תפקידם בפאר רב. אלוהים קבל אותם אל חיקו לנצח".
