English: Machynys, or Machynys Peninsula is a coastal area in south Llanelli, formerly occupied by a tinplate works and housing for its workers. After the works' closure, the housing was emptied in the mid 1960s and the site remained largely derelict awaiting abortive regeneration plans.cite web
