English: The Lighthouse at Pointe Mitis, located on the shore of the St. Lawrence River at Métis-sur-Mer, stands tall on a low-lying point of land surrounded by rocks submerged at high tide. It is an attractive, white, concrete, hexagonal tower that flares gently at the top to join a hexagonal gallery with a red lantern.
Français : Le phare à Pointe Mitis, situé sur le bord du fleuve Saint-Laurent à Métis-sur-Mer, se dresse bien en évidence sur une pointe basse entourée de rochers qui sont submergés à marée haute. Le phare comprend une attrayante tour hexagonale en béton, peinte en blanc, qui s’évase légèrement dans sa partie supérieure, là où les pans de l’hexagone rejoignent la plate-forme de la galerie qui est aussi de forme hexagonale et surmontée d’une lanterne rouge.
