English: Levade is a classical dressage move where the horse, performing the logical extreme in collection, brings its weight entirely onto the haunches with great balance and strength; its hocks are very close to the ground; the angle between the leg and ground should be less than 45 degrees; the forelegs are carried in the air, ready to act when the horse is asked to release the potential movement energy in its rear. Not to be confused with Category:Pesade or Category:Rearing horses.
