  • The 60ft vessel was built in Brightlingsea in Essex, U.K. for the Welcome Trust for use on the river Gambia in Gambia as a transport launch and floating laboratory.
  • September 1958 launched as the LADY DALE.
  • Length 60ft, built of African mahogany, sheeted with copper.
  • Fitted out with two diesel engines.
  • Cost £26,000 including the transport cost to Gambia.
  • May 1973 sold to the United Nations for £5,000, not any information more.
