The old Jewish cemetery. Closed cemetery (visitable, but there are no new funerals). Here is the miracle rabbi's ajheli ajheli (eternal house) and tomb of Moses Teitelbaum, who died in 1841. It is a pilgrimage site and is visited by tens of thousands of people from all over the world every year. Moses Teitelbaum was rabbi of Sátoraljaújhely for 30 years and ran a world-renowned school. He was known as a wish-fulfilling miracle rabbi, the founder of Hasidicism in Hungary, and one of the best doctors of his time.
