Jan Vermeulen or Johannes van der Meulen is also identifiable with the Monogramist IVM. He was a Dutch painter, active from ca. 1638 - ca. 1674, in Haarlem from ca. 1651 - ca. 1655. Vermeulen was one of the leading vanitas painters in 17th century Haarlem.
