English: James Addison Reavis (1843-05-10 – 1914-11-27), the self-styled Don James Addison Peralta-Reavis, Baron of Arizoniac, was an American forger and con-man. He is best known in association with the Peralta land grant, a 1885 land claim later found to be fraudulent, that granted him ownership of 12,427,456 acres (19,420 sq mi; 50,290 km2) of land in Arizona and western New Mexico.
