English: This category is for all images showing iron-rich water, also called chalybeate or ferruginous water. Such water typically appears reddish itself (if turbid/muddy) or it appears clear but produces reddish depositions (see iron oxides, ferrihydrite, iron (III) oxide-hydroxide and iron bacteria). Water can be naturally iron-rich due to geology, or it can be iron-rich because of human impacts (e.g. effects of mining).
