The Women’s Work Collection was accrued largely between 1917 and 1920 and originally included art, models, documents, uniforms, badges, books, photographs and memorabilia of every variety.

Images in this category were scanned and released by the Imperial War Museum on their custom IWM Non Commercial Licence. The original photograph was either taken by a member of the forces during their active service duties in the First World War, or taken by commission by the War Cabinet or their agent, and became covered by Crown Copyright provisions. It is believed that faithful reproductions may be reused under that licence, as interpreted by HMSO, and the licence is considered expired after a maximum of 50 years after the original photograph was taken, or artwork created.
