 This image has something (or a lot) to do with creation of 3D Models for V-scale modeling of Virtual Railways.
  • If the picture is of an architectural structure, the photo(s) are viewed as a possible prototype and may well wind up as modeled as an self-defining 3D asset in Trainz Railroad simulators.
  • Similarly, photos of rail rolling stock, rail yards and Train Stations have modeling purposes, and both classes of these photos have instructional uses and may find a place in the Trainz Wikibook.

 

English: Images in this category began with a sampling of about 1,500 camera pictures that were collected on a six day railfanning trip to Pennsylvania in July 2013. The great majority of this first batch of images are in the Pennsylvania counties of Luzerne, Schuylkill, or Carbon Counties where we were exploring the Railroads of the historic Anthracite Coal Region.
  • Additional images taken since are more distributed in scope and heavily weighted to pictures in New England.
  • Many images will be of buildings, again related to 3D modeling (i.e. prototypes).
