English: The Parish Church of São José de Ferreiras (Igreja Paroquial de São José de Ferreiras) was inaugurated on the 30 April 2000 and can be found a short distance north of the village of Ferreiras, Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal. This modern church is designed in an octagonal shape with a bell tower on the south elevation. The tower is topped with a rooster weather vain. Inside the church, The altar is decorated by a blue glass panel and a sculpture in wood of the risen Christ, by the Algarvian sculpter Arlindo Arez. The baptismal font is decorated with a tile panel designed by Carmelite sisters which represents the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the Jordan River.
