English: A number of sections in the lower city of Idalion were excavated. In section A, which is placed north to the west side of the western acropolis, excavators found private residences and small-scale industrial installations including antler/horn and metal processing and olive-oil and ceramic clay production. These installations had been active from the thirteenth century BCE (Late Cypriot period) to at least the first century CE (Roman era).
