English: Highland sashes are traditional Scottish Highland womens' wear. They can be worn across the body as a full sash (female equivalent of the full plaid but without the long trailing portion over the shoulder), or formed into a large rosette with a trailing-over-the-shoulder portion and pinned at the left shoulder (equivalent of the male fly plaid).
