Marble sculpture of head from Amorgos, 2800-2300 BC. The nose, mouth and ears are in relief, while the large eyes were painted in. Of interest are the vertical lines on the cheekd, possibly drown there in the cause of some ritual. Height: 28 cm. National Archaeological Museum, Athens, No. 3909. (Exhibits outside "Cycladic" Room 06.)
