Hamilton Field is a former US Air Force base that is now a mixed-use commercial and residential neighborhood in Novato, California, the northern most city in Marin County. Hamilton Field is home to thousands of residents living in large and small homes, townhouses, and apartments. The area includes many recreational opportunities including hiking, biking, various public parks, playgrounds and more. Public and private schools are available to local children, with a branch of Novato's public library and a Maker's Workshop on the Field. Served by the SMART Train, public buses, and paratransit, Hamilton Field runs on parallel to Highway 101, with exits at Nave Drive and Ignacio / Bel Marin Keys in Novato, California. Its eastern border features wetlands, including a popular leg of the San Francisco Bay Trail running along San Pablo Bay.
