H.R. Chupurdy & Company (1912-1922) was located 221 West 53rd St., Manhattan, New York City, new York. It was specialized in bespoke coachwork, and is known as the builder of bodies for the Barbarino automobile as well as for the New York Roamer distributor. H.R. Chupurdy was a Yugoslavian immigrant. The company was reorganized as the Chupurdy Auto Coach Works in 1922. It was in business at least until 1936, but concentrated on rebodying and refurbishing customer cars after c. 1925.
