Guglielmo Berchicci (1957-) is an Italian architect and designer from Milan Italy.

Born in Milano, graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milano, top ten of QS World University Rankings, he has the honor of being invited to graduate by Marco Zanuso, historical exponent of Italian design. Guglielmo Berchicci opened his studio in Milan in the '90. Starting with private architectural renovations and as a maker of art-design objects, he was invited to participate in the most interesting exhibitions of art-design curated by Nanda Vigo, Ugo la Pietra and Alessandro Mendini. In a few years, thanks to the participation in design exhibitions and events and to the publication of his works in the most know design magazines, he began to work with Italian furniture company and create over the years successful icons of the Italian design.

DESIGN PRODUCTS

Many of the products designed by Guglielmo Berchicci are on sale for over twenty years in the most prestigious stores in the world, some of them are part of the permanent design collections of the MoMA NY and of the TRIENNALE Design Museum in Milan. They have been exhibited in the main international art and design museums as a testimony of Italian design and has been published in dozens of renowned design books, as well as innumerable publications in prestigious design magazines such as Interni, Abitare, Domus, AD, Elle Decor, Ddn, Vogue, among others.

AD AND DESIGN MANAGEMENT

Guglielmo Berchicci is also consultant for the creation of concepts and management of furniture design company, from the naming of the brand to the complete art direction. As the case history of the company Slide, which, from a mainly productionof of plastic pots for the garden, in a few year has become a protagonist of international design furniture.

ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIORS

At the same time, in addition to the realization of prestigious private residences, in Milan, he start to work for the world of fashion, creating exclusive furnishings and interiors for showrooms and shops, in Italy and abroad, such as Barneys NY, or such as the architecture and interiors of the six-story building in Milan for the famous fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. Then he start a partnership with an architecture studio in Moscow designing villas in the luxury district of Rublyovka near Moscow and in others various places in Russia. He is also create architecture and interior design of hotels, such as Villa Kadashi boutique hotel, a villa of the early twentieth century in the center of Moscow, transformed into a hotel of charme; hotel complexes and villas in Mahè Sey chelles; masterplan and architectural concept of residential, commecial and cultural complexes, in Volgograd, Crimea, Baden Baden, Kazan, Almet yevsk, among others.

ACADEMIC

He was academic of industrial design and lighting at the IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and at the NABA Nuova Accademia di Brera in Milan

EXHIBIT DESIGN

He has curated and designed numerous design exhibitions for companies or for important associations such as Anlaids by CONVIVIO, in the spaces of the Triennale di Milano, with the participation of more than hundred world-renowned artists, designers, stylists and photographers.
