The east building of the Sentinel Hotel (the Governor Hotel until 2014) was originally the Seward Hotel. From 1931 to 1992, this building exclusively was the Governor Hotel, and from 1992 to 2014 it continued to be part of the expanded, two-building Governor Hotel.
