The George Washington Motor Lodge stood at the southwest corner of the intersection of the Lehigh Valley Thruway (U.S. Route 22) and MacArthur Road in northern Allentown.

It opened in 1964 and hosted 250 rooms with air-conditioning, along with both indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant and a cocktail lounge. It was a popular motel for travelers, businessmen and people who enjoyed its accommodations. It also hosted many meetings, high school proms, and other gatherings.

The George Washington Motor Lodge gained a sense of notoriety in May 1983 as it was the scene of the altercation between pro wrestler Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and his mistress, Nancy Argentino that resulted in her death.

The motel closed in 1993, and was torn down in 1994. Today a Home Depot is located on the site.
