English: The Newcastle General Hospital was one of three main hospitals in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, along with the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital. A re-organisation running from 2005 to 2010 saw the transfer of most of its services to the other 2 sites, including moving the city's only Accident & Emergency unit from the General to a new facility in the RVI. Now referred to as the Former Newcastle General Site by the city's NHS Trust, the only remaining Trust uses of the site is as the Westgate Walk-in Centre, the Campus for Ageing and Vitality (a partnership between the Trust and Newcastle University).
