English: The Galtee Mountains or Galty Mountains are a mountain range in Munster, located in Ireland's Golden Vale across parts of counties Limerick, South Tipperary and Cork. The name "Galtee" is thought to be a corruption of the Irish "Sléibhte na gCoillte" - "Mountains of the Forests" in English, however this Irish name has fallen out of use. The Galtees are Ireland's highest inland mountain range, taking the form of a high ridge which rises up almost sheer from the surrounding plain. The highest peak in Galtymore which rises to 917 m (3,009 ft).

Italiano: Le Galtee Mountains o Galty Mountains (in gaelico Na Gaibhlte o Sléibhte na gCoillte) sono un insieme di montagne che costituiscono una catena montuosa e ubicate nel Munster, provincia sud-orientale dell'Irlanda. Più precisamente si trovano nella Golden Vale e sorgono a cavallo delle contee di Tipperary, Cork e Kerry. Il nome Galtee deriverebbe da una traduzione piuttosto approssimativa di Sléibhte na gCoillte, che tradotto significa " Montagne delle foreste", tuttavia il termine gaelico è ormai caduto in disuso. La catena comprende le più alte cime dell'entroterra dell'isola tra cui la maggiore è la montagna di Galteemore.

Den høyeste toppen i Galteefjellene er Galteemore, som med sine 920 meter over havet også er det høyeste fjellet i hele provinsen Munster.
