The dynamically moving center of the narthex shows the hand of God surrounded by the four apocalyptic figures symbolizing the evangelists: angel, ox, lion and eagle. Against the background of the night sky, patterned curtains stretch across the cross ridges. Some pictures speak of the "kubbe" (dome), but it is not the dome of the church itself.
