Forrest & Co. was established around 1850 as Forrest and Barr, Port Dundas Engine Works, Glasgow. They were general engineers, crane and derrick builders, and millwrights. When partners William Forrest and John Barr separated in 1874, the enterprise was in business at least until the late 1880s.
