Chatsworth House in Derbyshire stood in for Pemberley, Wilton House in Salisbury for some of the interiors. Groombridge Place in Kent was chosen for Longbourn. Representing Netherfield Park was Basildon Park in Berkshire. Burghley House in Lincolnshire became Rosings, while the adjacent town of Stamford served as Meryton. Other locations included Haddon Hall (The Inn at Lambton) and the Temple of Apollo and Palladian Bridge of Stourhead (for the Gardens of Rosings). St Mary the Virgin Church, in the ancient village of Weekley, doubled as Mr Collin’s parsonage at Hunsford (with St Peter's Church, Brooke, for the interiors of the church). The Peak District was used for Elizabeth and the Gardiners' tour. The first dance scenes were shot on a set in a potato warehouse in Stamford, Lincolnshire; this was the only set the crew built that was not already in existence.
