Category:Fictional flags of historical entities (to be replaced and deleted)

English: This category is for fictional flags (and flag-like symbols) which are not properly sourced but are currently in use to represent historical entities in various Wikimedia projects, usually prehistoric, ancient or medieval kingdoms, empires or tribes. Usage of these unofficial and anachronistic symbols is discouraged: many cultures didn't have unified or stylized flags like modern nations, or even flags at all.
(A prime example for a modern-day flag design that was loosely based on ancient art and popularized via the internet, is the "Seljuk eagle": While it is possible that people of the era may have identified themselves with the symbol in some way, its use on flags is unlikely.)
Once a flag in this category has been fully de-linked in all Wiki projects, it may get deleted. On the other hand, if maps are to be kept and moved out of this category, they need a proper historical source and/or a description that details why the flag would be in scope.
