English: 14th-century castle north-west of St. Mogue's Church in Fethard-on-Sea, County Wexford, erected by Thomas Dene, bishop of Ferns, as summer residence on the site of an earlier castle which was first mentioned c. 1200. The tower was also used as belfry for the church. (See Billy Colfer, The Hook Peninsula, p. 79; and Ben Murtagh, Fethard Castle - a Manorial Centre and Episcopal Residence in County Wexford.
