English: Eulomene was a steel-hulled four-masted ship built in 1891 by R. Thompson & Sons, Sunderland for H. Fernie & Sons, Liverpool. Her dimensions were length: 310.5 ft (94.6 m); width: 43 ft (13.1 m); depth: 24.5 ft (746.7 cm) and tonnage: 2725 GRT and 2607 NRT. Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. Missing in January 1905 after the cable had parted while under tow from Bremerhaven to Newcastle-on-Tyne.[1]
