English: The EMSA-Werke (1906 to 1941 in Germany) and EMSA-Works & Herbert Foot Appliance (1938 to 1960 in Britain) was a company founded by Max Samuel (1883-1942) and (in Britain) with his son Herbert Samuel (1907-1992) producing foot care and show care articles and ruubber products. The company was first based in Güstrow (1906 to 1916), then in Rostock (1916 to 1941) and finally in Blackburn, Lancs. (1938 to 1960). The German branch was 'Aryanised' in 1939, the premises restituted in 1991
