Drummond Place is a square in the New Town of Edinburgh, one of the best preserved examples of urban planning in the world. Reid and Sibbald planned Drummond Place as part of the first extension Northwards of the original Edinburgh New Town in 1802. Robert Reid designed the upper parts of the buildings but they were partly revised by Thomas Bonnar in 1817-18 while building. The square was finished in 1823. The antiquary and artist Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe lived at No 28.
