Deutsch: Das Sturmlied ist ein um 1920 von Dietrich Eckart verfasster Text, der durch nationalsozialistische Propaganda Bekanntheit erlangte. Dem Text entstammt die Parole „Deutschland, erwache!“, die immer noch in Neonazi-Kreisen aufgegriffen wird. Die Parole ist inspiriert von dem Vers „Auf, deutsches Volk, erwache!“ aus der Schlussstrophe von Theodor Körners Lied zur Einsegnung des Lützowschen Freikorps am 28. März 1813 in der Dorfkirche zu Rogau (Lied zur feierlichen Einsegnung des Preußischen Freikorps). Die Parole „Deutschland, erwache!“ entwickelte sich zu einem Slogan der von den Nationalsozialisten so bezeichneten „nationalsozialistischen Revolution“ und zierte die Parteistandarten.

English: Deutschland, erwache! (also written as Deutschland Erwache), "Germany, ewake!", came to be one of the most influential and powerful propaganda slogans of the German Nazi Party, used on its paramilitary units' standards, and popularized by Hitler for his entire political campaign throughout the 1920s and escpecially leading up to the 1933 election.

The phrase was taken from the Nazi song Sturmlied ("Storm Song" or "Assault Song") written by National Socialist poet Dietrich Eckart 1920 and the de facto anthem of the SA (Sturmabteilung) until it was gradually supplanted by the Horst-Wessel-Lied. The slogan was sometimes accompanied by the phrase Juda Verrecke ("Death to Judah", "Jewry must perish", "Jew croak").

As symbols of the new Germany, the four first "DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE" standards ("Nürnberg", "Landshut", "München" and "München II") were introduced on a party rally held outside Munich in January 1923. The slogan was used on banners of both SA and SS units, as well as by the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) and the Ordnungspolizei.
