English: Cream smoke coat in cats; instead of having fully-coloured hairs, smoke cats only have the tips of its hairs coloured, while the roots are white. Cream smoke is only applied to solid cream coloured cats, for cream tabby cats the proper terminology for this effect is cream silver.
Nederlands: Crème smoke vacht in katten; in plaats van kleur over de gehele lengte van de vacht, hebben smoke katten alleen kleur op de punten van het haar. Bij de haarwortel is de haar wit. De term crème smoke wordt alleen toegepast op effen (solid) gekleurde katten, bij een crème cyper (tabby) aftekening wordt Crème zilver gebruikt.
