Category:City Hall in Edirne

The current Edirne Municipality Building, the foundation of which was laid in 1898, was completed two years later in 1900. The project was drawn by Nazif Akanlar, who was a teacher at Edirne Military Academy and also the engineer of the municipality. Nazif Akanlar, who prepared the zoning plan of the Kaleiçi District in the same years, made outstanding efforts in improving the existing waterways and building new installations.
