Built in 1908, this office building originally housed the Union Bank, the Canadian Pacific Railway, as well as a hotel. The top three floors were added in 1913 for government offices. – wikimapia.org
In the central business district of Ottawa, the Blackburn Building is situated on the north side of Sparks Street. It is a large, ten-storey, reinforced concrete structure with a stone-facing. Its tripartite composition is distinguished by the vertical thrust of its modernized columns set between large expanses of glass.Français : L'édifice Blackburn se trouve du côté nord de la rue Sparks, dans le quartier du centre des affaires d'Ottawa. Il s'agit d'un grand bâtiment de 10 étages en béton armé revêtu de pierre. Sa composition tripartite s'articule par la verticalité de ses colonnes modernisées posées entre de grands vitrages.
