English: The ruins of the Vértesszentkereszt Benedictine abbey located SW from Oroszlány, between Bokod and Pusztavám villages on a summits of the Vértes Mountains. Looking east, basilica shaped church with three naves, cross naves. Partially completed walls, most remained the sanctuary. The walls stone carvings are original and later reclaimed. - The monastery building, connected with the first early church of the abbey on its north side. The monastery building has a rectangular courtyard, with walls with varying altitudes. - In 1543, as a result of the Turkish attacks, the churches and the monastery were damaged. In the second half of the 18th century, the monastery was demolished and its stones were transported to the various buildings of the Esterházy family. (24 columns and pillars used in the English park, Tata, and in 'Műrom' (~'artificial ruin') (built 1807) same place.
