The Bajío Dry Forests Ecoregion is a designated ecoregion by One Earth. It is classified as a Tropical & Subtropical Dry Broadleaf Forests Biome. It is one of 14 ecoregions in the Mexican Dry & Coniferous Forests Bioregion.
It occurs in west-central Mexico primarily in the states of Guanajuato, Michoacan, and Jalisco; the ecoregion narrowly extends into Zacatecas and Querétaro, but should not be considered emblematic of those states.
