History

Audace (D 551) was the twin ship of Ardito derived from Impavido-class destroyer, improving the helicopter component and the general architecture of the ships. She was a multi-purpose destroyer fit to carry out escort missions, coastal bombardment and support for amphibious operations. Ardito was decommissioned on September 28, 2006.
