English: The Assembly Hall, an almost cubic room, was originally decorated by the architects Ragnar Östberg from Sweden and Howard Robertson from the United Kingdom. The biggest room of the Palace of Nations (2,000 seats). it was the first room in the world to be equipped for simultaneous interpretation. Inaugurated on September 25th, 1937, it was renovated and modernized at several occasions, the last time in 1996.
